FBI’s Shady Behavior at Mar-a-Lago Caught on Security Cameras, Eric Trump Says

OPINION | This article contains commentary that reflects the author's opinion.

It was initially reported that FBI agents demanded that security cameras be turned off during their raid at President Donald Trump’s private home at Mar-a-Lago.

However, this never happened as the Mar-a-Lago staff refused to comply, according to Trump’s son Eric.

The surveillance cameras were never turned off. Erics says the FBI agents are seen behaving improperly and searching places they “shouldn’t have been.”

Agents also reportedly searched Melania Trump’s wardrobe despite allegedly on the property to obtained classified documents.

Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb was forced by FBI agents to wait at the end of the Mar-a-Lago driveway while they searched the property.

“There’s 30 agents there,” Eric explained. “They told our lawyer, ‘You have to leave the property right now. Turn off all security cameras.’

“They would not give her the search warrant, so they showed it to her from about 10 feet away,” Eric alleged. “They would not give her a copy of the search warrant.”

Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb has also corroborated Eric’s claims.

Bobb described the warrant as “thin” and agreed that agents used the raid for nefarious purposes that were not disclosed in the warrant.

“I think this is clearly a situation where they’re looking for a way that they can easily prosecute President Trump,” Bobb claimed.

“They want to do it under a national security-type guise because they can hide things from the public and they can say, ‘Oh, we can’t tell you. We can’t give you the details because it’s confidential information, subject to national security concerns, so we can’t tell you, but we’re just going to prosecute [Trump].”

Eric said that Mar-a-Lago staff refused to comply with the demand to shut off surveillance cameras. Thus, Eric alleged, there is footage showing FBI agents searching areas of the property they “shouldn’t have been.”

[Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb] explained in an interview on Tuesday that FBI agents initially refused to show her the search warrant, but they eventually did so. However, investigators did not disclose the probable cause that led a federal magistrate judge to approve the warrant…

Speculation is running rampant because the Justice Department has refused to speak publicly about the raid. The narrative is thus being steered by law enforcement leaks.

One DOJ source who spoke to Newsweek, for example, described the raid as a “spectacular backfire,” because the FBI hoped for it to be low-key, but instead it has energized Republicans and triggered accusations of a weaponized Justice Department.
