A number of fans of ABC’s “The View” are speaking out after the show abruptly cut off co-host Ana Navarro in order to report breaking news about criminal charges against high-profile actor Alec Baldwin.
Navarro was speaking about Rep. George Santos allegedly dressing up in drag in the past while the interruption occurred.
Many viewers were furious that they couldn’t hear the rest of the co-host’s opinion.
Baldwin was charged on two counts of involuntary manslaughter after fatally shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza on the set of the film Rust in October 2021.
However, it appears “The View” didn’t care about Baldwin or the special report.
“Here’s my big question: Why the f*** did they interrupt #TheView for breaking news on Alec Baldwin?” one fan asked.
“Did ABC really just interrupt #TheView to give ‘Breaking News’ about the movie set shooting involving Alec Baldwin? This could’ve waited until noon.”
Take a look:
I thought them cutting into regular programming for this report was a matter of national security #TheView pic.twitter.com/uyJ8f38tcj

“What the Frig! I tuned in for The View not Alex Baldwin,” another person complained. “Dang! What’s with ABC? Get off our show. I was about to hear Ana Navarro’s opinion on Santos. This could have waited till noon news!”
SERIOUSLY? Do we REALLY need to break into the show to say Alec Baldwin is getting charged with involuntary manslaughter??#TheView pic.twitter.com/RTbzU4agpI
