“Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider announced that his wife, Alicia Allain, has died. She was just 53.

Schneider did not give a cause of death, however, she was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. In 2020, Allain was cancer-free at the time, according to her PET scan.

“My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” Schneider said, sharing his Christian faith with fans.

62-year-old Schneider posted a tribute to social media and a photo of their hands intertwined.

“Please respect our privacy during this time of grief,” he continued. “Please do not ask any questions.”

“If you have any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other, please post them below. Lastly… hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”

On social media, he wrote, “My center. My everything. My smile.”

In 2020, Schneider opened up about her battle with cancer, saying, “We did a lot of things. We went to the doctor obviously. We went through the, ‘My God, the house is burning down, what are we going to do?’ stage.”

“But she’s so smart. She’s a researcher. So what Alicia did is she looked up everything that came after the words ‘cancer hates,’ and we did all those things,” he added.

“She looked up ‘cancer loves,’ and we stopped doing all of those things,” he said. “Like sugar. She went on a Keto for Cancer diet.”

“We started walking around Music Row, because we heard that cancer does not like an accelerated heart rate. So by God, we’re going to do the treadmill, we’re going to do all this stuff. We did that every day. Cancer loves sugar, took all that out, all of it. Not some of it, all of it.”

Schneider is widely known by Americans for his portrayal of Beauregard “Bo” Duke in the series The Dukes of Hazzard.

He also played Jonathan Kent in the 2001–11 TV series Smallville and James “Jim” Cryer on the television series “The Haves and the Have Nots.”

Originally a singer beginning in the early 1980s, Schneider has also released nine studio albums, greatest hits album, and 18 singles.

His most well-known songs have included “I’ve Been Around Enough to Know”, “Country Girls”, “What’s a Memory Like You”, and “You’re the Last Thing I Needed Tonight.” They reached top of the Billboard country singles charts.
