Adam Schiff Is ‘Concerned’ That Elon Musk’s ‘Personal Views Will Stop the Fight Against Disinformation on Social Media’

Liberals are upset about the fact Elon Musk bought Twitter and promises to allow for free speech. Twitter has been widely condemned for censoring, suspending, and banning individuals for political speech that they don’t agree with.

Elon Musk, who purchased the company for $44 billion, has promised to make Twitter’s algorithm open source in order to increase trust. Radical leftists have been operating in secrecy and behind closed doors to wrongfully censor and shadow-ban individuals for political speech.

Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff said, “Here’s my take on the world’s richest man buying Twitter: He makes a great car and rocket. But I’m concerned his personal views will stop the fight against disinformation on social media.”

“The problem on Twitter hasn’t been too much content moderation – it’s too much hate,” Schiff wrote in a tweet.

Critics immediately hit back at Schiff, calling him the “king of disinformation.”

Specifically, Schiff spent years pushing misinformation about the fake Russian collusion hoax. Schiff falsely claimed President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with Russia in order to win the 2016 election.

Schiff promoted the discredited anti-Trump Steele dossier.

“Remember when you knowingly and maliciously pushed disinformation for YEARS, falsely claiming to have evidence of Trump colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election?” wrote Fox News contributor Mollie Hemingway, while writer Jeff Carlson tweeted, “Here’s my take on the biggest liar in Congress: You’re frightened by your loss of power.”

Rep. Dan Bishop, R-N.C., questioned how “one of the biggest collusion liars” was now somehow concerned about “disinformation.”

Sean Davis, CEO and co-founder of The Federalist, wrote that Schiff was “the last person on earth who should be whining about ‘disinformation.'” Here’s a look at Schiff’s initial tweet and Hemingway’s response:

Twitter has been widely condemned for censoring, suspending, and banning individuals for political speech that they don’t agree with.

For example, just 19 days before the 2020 presidential election, President Donald Trump’s official reelection campaign account on Twitter was suspended for writing, “Joe Biden is a liar who has been ripping off our country for years” while linking to the NY Post exposé on Joe and Hunter Biden, which was factual.

Following Musk’s takeover of Twitter, conservatives suddenly saw massive spikes in Twitter followers for conservatives.

Donald Trump Jr. led the way in questioning the giant spike, which saw him gain 87,296 new followers by Tuesday and another 119,022 by Wednesday morning. “While I’m awesome and totally deserving of 87,000 new followers a day it seems that someone took the shackles off my account,” Trump Jr. said.

Conservative radio host Dana Loesch gained 22,163 followers. Tucker Carlson gained more than 141,000. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene saw her followers grow by more than 130,000. Podcast host Joe Rogan’s follower count exploded by nearly 135,000 and Texas Senator Ted Cruz gained more than 112,000.

In October 2020, Twitter locked the New York Post out of its account following the outlet’s publication of a smoking gun report on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The left-wing company also locked the accounts of numerous high-profile Twitter users who attempted to post the link. Musk weighed in on the issue of Twitter suspending the NY Post just months before the election over the story, which has since been authenticated as truthful.

Musk attacked Vijaya Gadde who is considered “the top censorship advocate at Twitter” and famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan’s podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story. Gadde is unhappy about Musk’s takeover.

“Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate,” Musk responded. Take a look:
