Dem Lawmaker Claims He Was Pulled Over for ‘Driving While Black’ — Body Cam Footage Blows His Story Wide Open

Minnesota state Rep. John Thompson claimed that he was pulled over for “driving while black”, according to Western Journal, and additionally took advantage of the incident for a political rally. However, the police officer’s body camera footage is blowing the story wide open.

On July 4th, Thompson was pulled over during a routine traffic stop. Fox News reports the police sergeant reportedly pulled the Democratic lawmaker over after seeing that he had no front license plate and was driving at a high speed. Then the officer discovered Thompson’s Wisconsin driver’s license was suspended for failure to pay child support.

Thompson was elected in November and took office in January. Western Journal writes, “To make matters even more questionable, the address Thompson gave when receiving the ticket is not in the district he represents, WCCO reported. Under Minnesota law, the state’s lawmakers are required to ‘have maintained residence in the district from which the candidate seeks election for 30 days before the general election.'”

Thompson said, “We’re still getting ‘driving while black’ tickets in this state and, in fact, in St. Paul. So let’s just call it what it is, right…I shouldn’t have to be profiled, so this is ridiculous. Oh, and by the way, it was a sergeant here in St. Paul, by the way. We promote bad behavior.”

The St. Paul chief of police, Todd Axtell, has demanded an apology from Thompson and released the body camera footage to show the true story:

NEXT STORY: Now We Know Who Is Funding the Lawless Texas Democrats Who Fled the State

Willie Nelson and former Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke are reportedly among those helping with the costs of Texas Democratic legislators who left the state in protest of Texas’ recent voting bill, according to Western Journal. Nelson gave the Democrats $5,000, the report adds.

Democrats left Texas and reportedly stayed at the Washington Plaza Hotel in D.C. Western Journal comments that Democrats “have vowed to suffer in four-star surroundings until the special session called by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott expires.” Republicans have moved forward with passing election reforms despite Democrats’ efforts to flee the state. O’Rourke is reportedly leading a fundraising effort to pay the bills of the Democrats who fled the state. The hotel bill is estimated to top $10,000 a day.

NEXT STORY: BREAKING: Senate Unanimously Passes New Bill to Ban All Products from China’s Xinjiang

On Wednesday, the U.S. Senate passed legislation to ban the import of products from China’s Xinjiang region, according to Reuters. This comes as part of efforts in Washington to punish Beijing. U.S. officials reportedly believe China has an ongoing genocide against Uyghurs and other Muslim groups.

The legislation passed by unanimous consent. This is a bipartisan effort and places the burden of proof to importers. Reuters reports that the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act would create a “rebuttable presumption” assuming goods manufactured in Xinjiang are made with forced labor and therefore banned under the 1930 Tariff Act, unless otherwise certified by U.S. authorities.

NEXT STORY: NFL Going Even More Woke, Decides to Include Black National Anthem Before Games for 2021 Season (Report)

Fox News reported that the “Black national anthem” is reportedly set to return before NFL games for good starting in 2021. If you recall before the start of Week 1 games during the 2020 NFL season, the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing” was played. Now the NFL plans to make it a “prominent part of big league events.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said, “We, at the National Football League, believe Black lives matter. I personally protest with you and want to be part of the much-needed change in this country.” Goodell continued, “”Without Black players, there would be no National Football League and the protests around the country are emblematic of the centuries of silence, inequality and oppression of Black players, coaches, fans and staff. We are listening, I am listening, and I will be reaching out to players who have raised their voices and others on how we can improve and go forward for a better and more united NFL family.”

Additionally, the NFL allowed social justice terms like “End Racism” to be painted in the back of teams’ end zones. Players were able to honor victims of racism and police violence. Fox News added: “The national anthem is usually only heard before early-season games or some primetime games, the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft. “Lift Every Voice and Sing” was played before Super Bowl LV and the draft in April.”

Megan Fox is accused of supporting former President Trump after she referred to the former president as a “legend” at the recent UFC 264 fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, according to Fox News.

Jimmy Kimmel on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” asked Fox about her recent attendance at the fight and she noted that Trump was received by the crowd at the event as a “legend.” Fox reports that the remark clearly got people upset. Fox later wrote on social media in all-caps:

“UHMMM… I DO NOT ALIGN MYSELF WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY OR INDIVIDUAL POLITICIANS,” she wrote in her all-caps rebuke. “I NEVER SAID DONALD TRUMP IS A LEGEND. I SAID HE WAS A LEGEND… IN THAT ARENA (KEY PART OF THE SENTENCE).”

NEXT STORY: Federal Court Issues Major 2nd Amendment Ruling, Says Banning Guns for Adults 18 to 20 Is Unconstitutional

According to CNN, a federal appeals court ruled that regulations setting a minimum age of 21 for handgun purchases from licensed dealers violates the Second Amendment rights of those citizens. The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is a three-judge panel and the vote split 2 to 1.

One of the judges was appointed by former President Donald Trump. This same judge also wrote the majority opinion. Judge Julius N. Richardson argued that laws relegated “either the Second Amendment or 18- to 20-year-olds to a second-class status.” He continued, “Looking through this historical lens to the text and structure of the Constitution reveals that 18- to 20-year-olds have Second Amendment rights. Virtually every other constitutional right applies whatever the age. And the Second Amendment is no different.”

Judge G. Steven Agee, who was appointed by George W. Bush, also agreed with Richardson in the majority. However, a Barack Obama appointee, Judge James A. Wynn, Jr., was alone in dissent. Wynn Jr. claimed adults ages 18-to-21 years of age are less mature and crime statistics show are more likely to commit a crime with the handgun.

More from Newsmax: “That particular argument, however, seems to support the majority opinion that younger adults would be ruled not equal under the law… Wynn’s dissent also took a political position versus a constitutional, textual and legal one, accusing the majority of giving “the gun lobby a victory in a fight it lost on Capitol Hill more than fifty years ago,” CNN reported.”

“Wynn, who lost in the ruling, also argued the court’s ruling usurped constitutional authority of lawmakers, writing it was not ‘consistent with the proper role of the federal judiciary in our democratic system.'”

NEXT STORY: Tucker Carlson Delivers on His Promise, Releases Explosive Evidence of Fulton County Election Fraud

Tucker Carlson delivered on his promise and investigated voter fraud in the Georgia election during a segment on Fox News. Tucker said, “At least 36 batches of mail-in ballots from the November election were double-counted in Fulton County, that is a total of at least 4,000 votes. How’s that possible? I don’t know.”

Tucker continued, “Every American should want to know, because the answer gets to the heart of the integrity of our elections, otherwise known as our democracy. We’re not talking about a couple of ballots here. We are talking about a lot of ballots, at least hundreds of ballots involved. Enough potentially to affect the outcome of the election. How is that not flat-out criminal fraud?” Tucker asked. “We’d love to know. Because it certainly sounds like flat-out criminal fraud.”

Becker News dived into the story further:

As reported earlier, an independent election audit team poured through ballot images in Fulton County, Georgia and found numerous examples of fraudulent ballots double-counted in the election. The forensic auditing team found double-counted ballots from the 2020 election and showed them in a video release… The ballots scanned were identically marked in their entirety. The issue with double-ballot counting is that it circumstantially corroborates video-recorded evidence that appears to show Fulton County election workers running stacks of ballots through tabulators.

A video recording taken at State Farm Arena late election night showed election workers dragging out boxes of ballots from under a table after election observers were wrongfully sent home early. Then they ran stacks of ballots through tabulators multiple times for unknown reasons… Contrary to widespread media myths, as the Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway rightly pointed out, the State Farm vote-counting video has not been “debunked.” After the release of thousands of ballot images under a Georgia state law that has made them available to the public, the mainstream media has finally conceded that hundreds of double-scanned ballots were cast in Fulton County in the 2020 election.
