Democrats received bad news as they hope to pass Biden’s massive infrastructure bill.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has delayed a vote on the bill because Congress has failed to reach deal.

Sen. Bernie Sanders told CNN that the infrastructure deal should be “defeated.”

“It is an absurd way to do business, to be negotiating a multi-trillion-dollar bill a few minutes before a major vote with virtually nobody knowing what’s going on. That’s unacceptable. And I think what has got to happen is that tonight, the bipartisan infrastructure bill must be defeated,” Sanders said.

“So I want to see the infrastructure bill passed, but it’s absolutely imperative that we pass a strong, reconciliation bill that deals with the needs of working families, and it deals with the existential threat of climate change,” he continued.

In a letter to House Democrats, Pelosi said “more time is needed.”

“Today, President Biden honored us with his first in-person visit to our Caucus. He received a hero’s welcome,” Pelosi wrote in the letter.

“His presentation on the values of the Biden vision was warmly and enthusiastically received.”

Pelosi claims that “great progress has been made” but “more time is needed to complete the task.”

“While great progress has been made in the negotiations to develop a House, Senate and White House agreement on the Build Back Better Act, more time is needed to complete the task,” Pelosi wrote.

“Our priority to create jobs in the health care, family and climate agendas is a shared value. Our Chairs are still working for clarity and consensus. ”

“Clearly, the Bipartisan Infrastructure bill will pass once we have agreement on the reconciliation bill,” she concluded.

Democrats have been pushing for the largest single spending bill in history of $3.5 trillion, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Democrats finalized their proposal for $2.9 trillion in tax hikes. It’s the “biggest tax increase in history,” Newsmax reported.

It’s certainly the largest tax increase in decades, which is meant to pay for the Democrats’ higher spending in their ‘reconciliation’ package. As history has proven over and over again, the Democrats’ proposal for taxes and spending will undoubtedly have a negative impact by discouraging Americans from working, saving, investing, and innovating.

Moderate Democrats, such as Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, has refused to support the legislation.

Recently, a video of Pelosi went viral after The Independent characterized her as having a “furious” on a phone call amid partisan standoffs within the Democrats.

Watch the clip:

The Independent explained, “The pressure of the partisan standoffs within the Democrats over key pieces of legislative agenda was visible at an annual baseball game on Wednesday as a clip of a Nancy Pelosi, who seemed to be working through the game, went viral.”

“Seated in the front row at [Nationals Park], the House speaker was caught on cameras in a seemingly intense telephone conversation during the annual charity game played by members of Congress and traditionally attended by staff of both parties.”

More from Daily Wire:

The same day, Pelosi snapped at a reporter questioning her tact with moderate Democrats holding up the progressive trillion-dollar spending package, The Daily Wire reported:

“It looks like the debt limit extension might not advance in the Senate. Why get mad at members, why twist the arms of moderates if this is not going to move anywhere?” a reporter questioned Pelosi, referring to moderate Democrats like Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).

The House Speaker stared at the reporter, before angrily stating, “What are you talking about?!”

“We have a responsibility to uphold, to lift up the full faith and credit of the United States of America,” Pelosi told the reporter, according to The Western Journal. “That’s what we have to do. These members have all voted for this last week. So if they’re concerned about how it might be in an ad, it’s already in an ad. It’s already in an ad.”

The House Speaker ultimately failed in her attempt to have the packages passed by Thursday or even Friday. The Daily Wire reported Thursday:

Pelosi is facing a double loss Thursday, with both the trillion-dollar bipartisan infrastructure deal — or “BIF” — and the White House’s massive $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” spending package, are both set to meet failure in the House, with the progressives intent on killing the BIF and Senate mavericks, Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) looking to derail the Biden administration’s pet “human infrastructure” package.
