Watch: GOP Rep Goes Off on Ilhan Omar on House Floor, Calls Her ‘Jihad-Squad Member’

Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar, who is one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress, is often slammed by critics for expressing views condemned as anti-Semitic and anti-Israel.

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert called Omar a “jihad-squad member” during a heated discussion over whether to censure members of Congress for inappropriate behavior.

“Democrat policies are so pathetic and have done so poorly that the left has nothing else to do but troll the internet looking for ways to get offended and then try to target members and strip them of their committees,” Boebert said.

“This is a dumb waste of the House’s time,” she continued. “But since the Speaker has designated the floor to discuss members’ inappropriate actions, shall we?”

“The jihad-squad member from Minnesota has paid her husband, and not her brother husband, the other one, over a million dollars in campaign funds,” she continued.

“This member is allowed on the Foreign Affairs Committee while praising terrorists.”

“A Democrat chairwoman incited further violence in the streets outside of a courthouse. And then the cherry on top: my colleague, and three-month presidential candidate from California who is on the Intelligence Committee, slept with Fang Fang, a Chinese spy,” she added.

“Let me say that again: a member of Congress who receives classified briefings was sleeping with the enemy. This is unacceptable.”

Boebert argued that Democrats are constantly looking for new ways to be offended while hypocritically ignoring their own inappropriate behavior.

The House of Representatives ultimately voted 223-207 to censure Republican Rep. Paul Gosar. In a now-deleted controversial tweet, Gosar posted a fake video altered to make it look like Gosar destroys Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and waves a sword at Joe Biden.

Democrats argued that the animated clip promoted violence.

In August, the New York Post reported that the FBI had access to DNA evidence which allegedly proved Omar married her own brother to help him gain entry to the United States, but the Bureau chose not to pursue the case against the Minnesota rep., citing “statute of limitations” and the fact that her alleged brother-husband moved oversees.

Rep. Omar also compared the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban, asserting that each group has committed “unthinkable atrocities.” She later claimed her comparison was not one of moral equivalence.

Omar responded to Boebert’s attacks on Twitter, writing, “Luckily my dad raised me right, otherwise I might have gone to the floor to talk about this insurrectionist who sleeps with a pervert. I am grateful I was raised to be a decent human and not a deprived person who shamefully defecates & defiles the House of Representatives. [Praying emoji] God.”
