Greta Thunberg Turns Against Biden, Launches Brutal Insult His Way

Left-wing environmental activist Greta Thunberg, who is now 18 years old, is questioning Joe Biden’s ability to lead in response to climate change, formerly known as global warming.

Thunberg, who endorsed Biden in 2020, told The Washington Post, “I mean, it’s strange that people think of Joe Biden as a leader for the climate when you see what his administration is doing.

The teenager was asked whether she was inspired by Biden. Thunberg rejected the suggestion and claimed Biden is “actually expanding fossil fuel infrastructure.”

“Why is the U.S. doing that?” she said. “It should not fall on us activists and teenagers who just want to go to school to raise this awareness and to inform people that we are actually facing an emergency.”

“First of all, we have to actually understand what is the emergency. We are trying to find a solution of a crisis that we don’t understand,” she continued.

“For example, in Sweden, we ignore — we don’t even count or include more than two-thirds of our actual emissions. How can we solve a crisis if we ignore more than two-thirds of it? So it’s all about the narrative. It’s all about, what are we actually trying to solve? Is it this emergency, or is it this emergency?” she said.

More from Western Journal:

Thunberg was one of the big names endorsing Biden during his presidential bid. She wrote in an October 2020 tweet, before the presidential election, that “I never engage in party politics. But the upcoming US elections is above and beyond all that.”

“From a climate perspective, it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn! Just get organized and get everyone to vote Biden,” Thunberg wrote.

Climate change was one of the main selling points of the Biden-Harris campaign in 2020. During his campaign, Biden promised to bring about a “Clean Energy Revolution” through several regulatory actions intended to make the United States “a 100% clean energy economy and net-zero emissions no later than 2050.”

“As president, Biden will lead the world to address the climate emergency,” the Biden Harris campaign website states.

Biden recently attempted to tap the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve in an effort to lower gas prices ahead of the holiday season, but this has failed to work.

The Department of Energy confirmed the release of 50 million barrels of oil held in U.S. reserves, but a large portion has been approved for sale. Oil reserves released by Biden are “expected to primarily go to China and India,” Fox News reported.

The bigger problem is that the Biden administration has stopped the XL Keystone pipeline, stopped the flow of existing pipelines, and prevented drilling on federal lands. Appearing on Fox News, Trump said that gas was $1.87 a gallon when he was in office, but now the price of gas is “going through the roof.”

In California, gas prices have hit over $7 at some locations. The national average for gas under Biden was $3.31 in December. Gas prices have hit a 31-year high, according to USA Today.

The national average for the same time last year when Trump was in office was $2.22. “If you have a bakery, if you have anything, you have to heat it, you have to have the machinery, it’s all energy,” Trump said.

Businesses that depend on trucks and airplanes for transportation will also see significant cost increases for energy. “The energy costs have gone up so high, it’s staggering, that everything else is affected,” Trump continued.

Refusing to accept any responsibility, Biden has floated a new excuse for skyrocketing gas prices that are hurting Americans. In a desperate attempt to convince Americans, Biden claims that oil and gas companies are engaging in “illegal conduct” and purposely overcharging Americans at the pump.

Biden did not present any evidence. Instead, he called on federal regulators to investigate his wild conspiracy. He says gas companies are overcharging Americans at the pump by not passing on cost savings from lower wholesale gas prices to prices at the pump.

Amid increasing political pressure, Biden sent a letter to Federal Trade Commission chair Lina Khan. He says there is “mounting evidence of anti-consumer behavior by oil and gas companies. The bottom line is this,” Biden explains. “Gasoline prices at the pump remain high, even though oil and gas companies’ costs are declining.”

Multiple fact-checks are already reporting that Biden’s claims are “False.” These fact checks have concluded that “gas prices are not abnormally high relative to either wholesale gasoline prices or crude oil prices.”
