The Kansas State Wildcats men’s basketball team upset the ninth-ranked Baylor Bears in overtime, 68-64.

After the game, players and staff from both teams came together in a circle to pray, a moment that was widely appreciated and noted by fans and sports media.

The public prayer was remarkable because nearly 50 people from both schools participated, despite the intense emotions following the thrilling overtime finish.

“Kansas State and Baylor huddling up together for a postgame prayer now,” sportswriter Derek Young wrote.

“More than sports. Such a great moment for these two squads,” one Kansas State fan wrote online.

“Baylor and KState coming together to pray after their game Tuesday night,” Sports Spectrum posted.

The game was a significant boost for Kansas State and a disappointment for Baylor, yet both teams demonstrated sportsmanship and unity in their postgame actions.
