Fox News covered a press conference today at which New York’s Gov. Cuomo voiced his continued frustration in trying to obtain more ventilators.

This is the portion of the press conference where Gov. Cuomo declares his accusations.

“It is basically impossible to buy a ventilator.” the governor said before explained that he believes that FEMA has “captured” the market, making ventilators inaccessible by individual states.

Cuomo accused the federal government of “bigfooting” the states by using their power and influence to purchase all ventilators, keeping them out of the hands of the governors that are also trying to stock up on resources needed during the pandemic.

This situation has made federal distribution particularly important because they will be the ultimate decision-makers if the federal government is in possession of all the ventilators that exist.
