Former Spokesperson for Ukraine President Tweeted This About Kamala Harris – Then DELETES IT

Referring to Kamala Harris, the former press secretary for Ukraine President Zelenskyy wrote to Twitter: “It would be a tragedy if this woman won the presidency.”

Kamala Harris recently received severe backlash because she erupted into inappropriate laughter after being asked a serious question about the Russia-Ukraine war. The incident occurred as she was attending a press conference in Warsaw, Poland to represent the U.S. alongside Poland’s President Andrzej Duda.

The shocking video clip went viral, even catching the eye of former press secretary for Ukraine President Zelenskyy, Iuliia Mendel.

In her own words, Mendel wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “It would be a tragedy if this woman won the presidency.” She also retweeted criticism from political commentator Benny Johnson who wrote, “Only Kamala Harris would find it appropriate to laugh when talking about the topic of Ukrainian Refugees.”

Here’s a look at a screenshot of the tweet before it was deleted:

Mendel appears to be using her social media account to play an active role amid the ongoing Russian invasion. In another tweet, she applauded the Biden administration for its decision to ban imports of Russian oil and gas.

Mendel hasn’t publicly addressed her tweet deletion. It appears that she received backlash over her remarks as several commenters demanded she take down the tweet. One person accused the former spokesperson of the Ukrainian President of “spreading Republican propaganda.”

The reality is that Mendel was simply noting the truth about Harris’ complete ineptitude.

In the video, Harris was asked about the difficult refugee crisis in Europe right now. She was also asked what the US is doing to help given there is no infrastructure to sustain refugees for more than two weeks or so.

However, Harris oddly breaks into laughter, which is followed by a strange joke about “a friend in need is a friend indeed.” Her answer begins around the 40-second mark. Watch the clip:

In response to widespread criticism, Harris’ Deputy Communications Director desperately tried to spin the portrayal of the video as being “wildly out of context.”

Harris did go on to answer the question. However, besides noting that the US wouldn’t send Ukrainians back into a warzone whose visas were expiring, she didn’t give much else concrete other than saying we would support Poland.

The vice president has recently come under fire by critics in the U.S. for the crisis at the southern border. Harris, who once achieved the lowest approval rating for any vice president in history at 28 percent, told American that they “got what they asked for” by voting for her and Biden.

“Elections matter,” she began. “And when folks vote, they order what they want. And in this case, they got what they asked for,” she added. “I went off script a little bit.” Watch the clip:

Social media responded quickly to Harris.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas said, “The American people didn’t ask for any of this,” and then listed “Record Inflation, Record border crisis, Closed schools, A war on American energy, Afghanistan disaster, and Russia invasion of Ukraine.”
