Stephen Curry indicated an interest in pursuing a career in politics or public service after retiring from basketball in order to leverage his influence for good causes.

While not committing to a presidential run, he said politics could be a way to create meaningful change.

“Maybe, I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can,” Curry said. “So, if that’s the way to do it, then – I’m not going to say the presidency but if politics is a way that you can create meaningful change or if there’s another way outside of politics.”

Curry is already deeply involved in philanthropic work in the Oakland community through charitable organizations supporting education, hunger relief, and racial justice issues.

He aims to continue advocating for important social causes even after his playing career through potential roles in local government or outside of traditional politics.
