Protesters joined together outside the home of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to show their dissatisfaction with her job performance, according to The Daily Wire.

“It’s not enough to be black, it’s not enough to be female, you gotta be right,” stated Tara Stamps.

“For the past 2 years, Lightfoot’s administration has continued to ignore the demands of its people.”

“This administration has failed on multiple issues — from environmental justice to education to policing to housing and COVID recovery.”

“Join over 30 organizations in calling out Mayor Lightfoot on her [two-]year anniversary and demand that she fulfill her broken promises.”

Lightfoot stated, “By now, you may have heard the news that on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of my inauguration as Mayor of this great City, I will be exclusively providing one-on-one interviews with journalists of color.”

“As a person of color, I have throughout my adult life done everything that I can to fight for diversity and inclusion in every institution that I have been a part of and being Mayor makes me uniquely situated to shine a spotlight on this most important issue.”

“I have been struck since my first day on the campaign trail back in 2018 by the overwhelming whiteness and maleness of Chicago media outlets, editorial boards, the political press corps, and yes, the City Hall press corps specifically.”

Tulsi Gabbard stated, “Mayor Lightfoot’s blatant anti-white racism is abhorrent. I call upon President Biden, Kamala Harris, and other leaders of our county—of all races—to join me in calling for Mayor Lightfoot’s resignation. Our leaders must condemn all racism, including anti-white.”

From The Daily Wire:

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside Democratic Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s house Thursday to express their disapproval of her job performance.

More than 300 demonstrators swarmed the area around Lightfoot’s residence, many of them hoisting signs giving her an “F” grade on issues such as education, COVID-19, police reform, housing, and other things, according to Fox News.

Many of the attendees posted footage of the event to social media under the the hashtag #2Years2Much, which is a reference to the two-year anniversary of her mayoral inauguration as the city’s first female black mayor.

Even liberal community organizers were among the 40 who sponsored the event, which included the Chicago Teachers Union, Black Lives Matter Chicago, Illinois Raise Your Hand, and GoodKids MadCity, according to the event’s Facebook page.

Lightfoot, who drew national attention throughout the pandemic for her repeated hypocrisy, recently stoked outrage when she determined that she would allow only reporters of color to interview her as she celebrates her two-year anniversary as mayor. She doubled down in the face of criticism, claiming such a policy was justified because too many in the Chicago media are white males.

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) on Friday slammed Lightfoot for what she called “anti-white racism.”
