‘It’s Going to Cost Disney Big Time’: Rev. Graham Sends Blistering Message to Disney

Reverend Franklin Graham hammered Disney in a recent post on social media.

“Disney has gone too far,” Graham explained. “The people of Florida have revolted, and it’s going to cost Disney big time.”

The company has faced widespread criticism after going “woke” and openly admitting to “adding queerness” inside children’s programming, according to a leaked video of executive producer Latoya Raveneau.

Disney Corporate President Karey Burke also announced plans to add “many, many, many LGBTQ characters” to its shows and movies. The company said 50% of its characters will either be minorities or LGBTQ by the end of the year.

“Thank God for Governor Ron DeSantis who is willing to take a bold stand,” Graham said. “We need more leaders like him. God bless him and the Florida legislature.”

“Walt Disney had a vision for wholesome family entertainment,” Graham said. “He was committed to the family. The morals of the corporate leadership of Disney today are in the gutter, and they want to redefine family counter to God’s original design and flaunt sin.”

Here’s a look at Graham’s post:

In response to this issue, Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri has introduced a bill to strip the Walt Disney Company of its special copyright privileges.

“There’s no reason Disney or any other woke corporation should keep getting special favors from government,” Hawley wrote to Twitter. “End the handouts now.”

A new report shows Disney has repeatedly donated to an organization that is accused of infiltrating schools with LGBT ideology in order to influence young children. This impacts both public and private schools.

Senator Hawley said, “The age of Republican handouts to Big Business is over.”

“Thanks to special copyright protections from Congress, woke corporations like Disney have earned billions while increasingly pandering to woke activists. It’s time to take away Disney’s special privileges and open up a new era of creativity and innovation.”

The Copyright Clause Restoration Act would limit new copyright protections to 56 years and make the change retroactive for major corporations like Disney that have been granted unusually long copyright monopolies…

Disney continues to make a fortune from its stable of animated characters because Congress has allowed the company to keep renewing copyrights on decades-old intellectual property that would normally have passed into the public domain by now.

In some cases, Disney has been granted copyright protections for up to 120 years, far longer than the original maximum of 28 years, according to Hawley’s office.

The legislation represents the latest counter-offensive to Disney after CEO Bob Chapek caved to a small group of radicalized, woke employees and picked a fight with Florida over the state’s Parental Rights in Education law, which bars the teaching of sexual identity and gender theory to kids in kindergarten through third grade.

Disney, which is based in California, has vowed to work to repeal the Florida law and those like it under consideration in other states.
