Joy Behar, the 79-year-old outspoken liberal daytime co-host of “The View,” said she will likely leave the show any day now in 2022.
In 2019, Behar revealed that she had a three-year contract and admitted that “I don’t see myself staying for more [time]. That’s it! I could be wrong.”
“I have a three-year contract,” Behar said at the time. “But that doesn’t mean I can’t leave if I want to, because they can’t really do anything to me at this point.”
“If I’m as fabulous in [2022] as I am now,” she continued. “I’ll think about. But the chances of that happening…You know, time marches on. I’m not a kid.”
A number of people have responded on social media about her contract ending and her possible exit.
“@JoyVBehar thank Goodness [you’re] leaving the view but your negativity and reputation will always stay a part of you,” one person said. “What derogatory statements you make are a reflection of who you are and not of the people you talk about.”

Over the years, Behar has repeatedly faced severe criticism over her comments on the show.
After the horrifying massacre that unfolded at a Buffalo grocery store and ended the lives of 10 innocent people, Behar used the disturbing act of violence as an opportunity to attack Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado.
Just one day after the attack, Behar posted a months-old picture of Boebert and her family, who are law-abiding gun owners, while posing in front of their Christmas tree over 1,000 miles away.
“This is obscene,” Behar wrote to Twitter, without providing any additional context. The photo was originally posted to mark the holiday with her four sons while also supporting Rep. Thomas Massie, who was facing backlash for sharing his own family Christmas photo while similarly armed with their Constitutional right.
Rep. Boebert didn’t let this smear go by without responding.
“Joy-less, we know you hate America,” Boebert said.
“Go back to your sex strike,” she added, which references how the “The View” co-hosts recently suggested going on sex strikes in response to the leaked Supreme Court decision that signaled the high court will overturn Roe V. Wade.
