OAN host Chanel Rion opposes the trade proposal for women’s basketball star Brittney Griner.
Griner was imprisoned for bringing illegal drugs into Russia.
“So here’s what the geniuses at the Biden State Department drummed up: a trade,” Rion said. “A convicted Russian arms dealer, aka Merchant of Death, in exchange for an America-hating lesbian pothead.”
“Break out the hashtags! Free Brittney! Make a deal!” Rion said, “Recall, Brittney Griner protested the American flag and anthem by telling the WNBA these hate symbols had no place in the WNBA. Oh, yeah. Griner is one of theirs, alright.”

President Donald Trump also stated that the trade was favoring Putin’s regime.
“She went in there loaded up with drugs into a hostile territory where they’re very vigilant about drugs,” Trump stated during a radio interview.
“They don’t like drugs. And she got caught. And now we’re supposed to get her out — and she makes, you know, a lot of money, I guess,” he continued.
“But we’re supposed to get her out for an absolute killer and one of the biggest arms dealers in the world. Killed many Americans. Killed many people,” Trump said.
“He’s gonna get a ‘free card.’ And we’re gonna get her. She knew — you don’t go in there loaded up with drugs,” he continued.
“And she admitted it. I assume she admitted it without too much force because it is what it is. And it certainly doesn’t seem like a very good trade, does it?” Trump asked.
