Twitter Bans Famous Conservative Icon — Elon Musk Responds

OPINION | This article contains commentary that reflects the author's opinion.

Twitter is furious with conservative media personality Jordan Peterson who they say is guilty of spreading “hateful conduct” by using the “wrong pronouns” and criticizing gender reassignment surgery.

Peterson, who is also a professor and clinical psychologist, refuses to accept the Left’s rejection of free speech and authoritarian approach to enforcing the use of “preferred pronouns.”

In one tweet, Peterson wrote, “Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”

These two simple sentences enraged liberals for numerous reasons. First, Peterson refuses to use the “preferred pronouns” of transgender actor Elliot Page by writing “her breasts.” Second, he calls gender confirmation surgery for a consenting adult “criminal”.

Peterson is accused of spreading “hateful conduct” and he was subsequently banned temporarily by Twitter. WATCH:

🚨 POLL: Is censorship out of control?
YES 👍 or NO 👎

Twitter has demanded that the tweet is deleted, but Peterson says he “rather die” than delete it.

Even if Twitter removes the ban, Peterson says he has no purpose for using the platform anymore given its out-of-control censorship.

Peterson is well known for standing up for free speech and refusing to allow authoritarians dictate what he’s allowed to say.

The world’s richest person, Elon Musk, weighed in the situation by responding on Twitter. Referring to the government overreach of England and the American revolution, Musk said, “The British are coming, the British are coming.”
