A gunman responsible for shooting nine people at a bar in Kansas City is still at large.

Four of the victims died to their injuries inside the bar while the other five were rushed to the hospital. The Associated Press reports these five victims are in stable condition.

According to the report, law enforcement was called to Tequila KC Bar at approximately 1:30 am on Sunday morning.

ABC News reports the suspect has been described as a Hispanic male. His motive for the shooting is not yet known.

USA Today adds:

No arrests had been made in the private, members-only bar, Tomasic told 41 Action News. He said handgun shells were found at the scene.

“Detectives are here and are looking at any surveillance,” Tomasic said. “This is definitely one of those that we’re going to do everything very slowly, very methodically and correctly.”

Video from the scene showed police vehicles swarming around the bar. KMBC-TV, citing police, said that four Hispanic men were killed and that the attack may have stemmed from an altercation earlier in the evening.
