Gutfeld Schools Mainstream Media For Misrepresenting Danger In Our Society

As “Joker” smashes October box office records, mainstream Leftist media has once again joined forces with the Cancel Culture to spread improper fear about the award-winning movie by claiming that there is a connection between violent onscreen characters and violent criminals in the real world.

Critics have recently devolved into activists, warning consumers of content that may be “triggering” or “inappropriate”, instead of commenting on a movie within the context of being an actual move. There is no more objectivity, and columns have become predictable based on the special interest group that the particular platform pursues. The critic’s score for “Joker” on Rotten Tomatoes is 68%, but the audience score is 90%. This disconnection was also highlighted in the contrasting reviews for Dave Chappelle’s “Sticks and Stones”, that received a 35% critic’s rating and a 99% audience score.

The Leftists are clearly angry and they expose their desperation contorting arguments that always link the blame to the predictable scapegoats of capitalism, white men, and offensive words.

Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld reported on the recent irony of the media’s careless approach to presenting their pre-planned narratives instead of the truth.

While they hallucinated grim narratives, one played out for real on New York’s streets.

A madman murdered four homeless men just blocks from the mayor’s office.

Presumably, the madman hadn’t seen “The Joker.” He was a young, deranged transient with 14 priors. This crime was a result of a bureaucracy that washes its hands of the homeless and the criminally insane, allowing tragedy to follow both.

I haven’t seen the film, but know the plot. The Joker suffers from mental illness, but due to budget cuts, the government slashes his treatment.

That seems a more relevant plot point than race.

And it underscores Saturday night’s mayhem.

In America’s cities, the government’s idea of treatment is the street.

This Saturday night massacre won’t lead the news, because the homeless aren’t the prettiest victims, and the perp isn’t the ideal mustache-twirling villain.

But it’s not a movie. Today’s world is run by those who prefer to punish offensive words rather than prevent demonic deeds. As a result, the most desperate are left to suffer until they turn on themselves.

Humans have been violent in every version of recorded, in every corner of the Earth. Movies have been around for just a sliver of this time, but they continue to be a consistent meeting ground for those who need something to blame, but lack any facts.

The mainstream media is just the latest group to make a profit from this fear mongering.
