BREAKING: Suspicious Vehicle Near Supreme Court, Capitol Police Urge People to Stay Away, Investigation Underway

A suspicious vehicle was near the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning.

Capitol police say they now have a man in custody in connection with the vehicle.

The suspect is 55-year-old Dale Paul Melvin of Kimball, Michigan.

He was removed from the SUV and placed under arrest.

Melvin was allegedly parked illegally and refused to talk to responding officers, authorities said.

Crisis negotiation officers were brought to the scene, ABC News reported.
