Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC), now House Speaker pro tempore, evicted former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from her office.

McHenry also wasted no time ousting House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and moving him into a new office.

“The office that Pelosi currently occupies is the office of the preceding speaker,” Louisiana Rep. Garret Graves stated. (Poll: Who Should Win the Presidency In 2024? VOTE)

As the preceding speaker, McCarthy moves into Pelosi’s office.

“Now that she and other Democrats have caused there to be an immediately preceding speaker, she has removed herself from that office,” he continued.

“That was a decision that Democrats and Speaker Pelosi made in giving that office to McCarthy.”

Former House minority whip Steny Hoyer was also “kicked out of his Capitol hideaway,” according to an X post by Jake Sherman.

Sherman posted on X that former House minority whip Steny Hoyer was being “kicked out of his Capitol hideaway” as well.

“[W]hether you think it’s right or wrong, Republicans are going to exact revenge for a long while over the MTV vote,” Sherman said.

“[Y]es, it was an internal party squabble. [B]ut the GOP thinks Dems shouldn’t have sided w Gaetz.”

“Expect more of this, GOP sources tell us,” he wrote.
