Biden Calls Out Israel For Making ‘Big Mistake’

In an interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” President Joe Biden spoke with host Scott Pelley about supporting Israeli occupation of Gaza.

Pelley said, “Would you support Israeli occupation of Gaza at this point?”

Biden said, “I think it’d be a big mistake.” (Trending: Major Women’s Race Won By Two Men)

“Look, what happened in Gaza, in my view, is Hamas and the extreme elements of Hamas don’t represent all the Palestinian people,” Biden continued.

“And I think that…It would be a mistake to…for Israel to occupy…Gaza again. We…but going in but taking out the extremists the Hezbollah is up north but Hamas down south. Is a necessary requirement.”

Pelley added, “Do you believe that Hamas must be eliminated entirely?”

Biden responded, “Yes, I do. But there needs to be a Palestinian authority. There needs to be a path to a Palestinian state.”

Palestinian Hamas terrorists notoriously use their own people as human shields, including women and children. This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.

In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 2,329 Palestinians killed and 9,714 wounded, according to Reuters. In the West Bank, 54 were recorded dead and 1,100 wounded since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started on Oct. 7.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.

Hamas is a Palestinian terror group that currently controls Gaza. The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”

This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.

Israel has repeatedly warned innocent civilians, as well as women and children, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip. (Trending: Disturbing Flag Found Near Massacre in Israel)
