In photos circulating social media, it appears that lead prosecutor Thomas Binger violated basic gun safety rules while holding a firearm in court.
Binger is seen placing his finger on the trigger of an AR-15 while pointing the gun at the jury.
“Good God!” one person responded on Twitter. “Prosecutor takes the AR (an admitted exhibit), says his assistant has ‘checked it to be sure it isn’t loaded.'”
“Then, without himself opening the action to confirm unloaded, raises it and points it in the direction of the jury!” he said.
“Inexcusable,” he added.

As recently as last month, Hollywod actor Alec Baldwin was incorrectly told that a firearm was not loaded.
After he pulled the trigger, it resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza while on the movie set of “Rust.”
Townhall editor Spencer Brown responded to Binger’s finger on the trigger by asking, “Did Alec Baldwin teach the Rittenhouse prosecutor how to handle firearms?”
“If anybody goes to jail at the end of all this, it should be this Binger nozzle,” another person commented.
“Jury intimidation at the least,” another person added. “The judge should have called him to task for that stunt.”
