CNN Turns a Blind Eye on WaPo Quietly Deleting Discredited Steele Dossier Coverage

CNN host Brian Stelter of “Reliable Sources” claims to hold the media accountable for fake news, but has ignored a bombshell report on The Washington Post.

The newspaper has been forced to correct over a dozen articles beginning in 2017 that falsely attack President Trump and the discredited Steele dossier.

Stelter predictably ignored the story because the left-wing network of CNN has a history of avoiding any stories that make Democrats or liberals look bad.

Stelter’s show only drew 645,000 viewers, which is its smallest audience of the year.

The Washington Post has corrected and altered two stories that inaccurately identified a key source of the discredited anti-Trump Steele dossier.

At least 14 other reports were also altered and corrected, according to Fox News.

Millions of taxpayer dollars were wasted after a fake story was created by the corrupt Hillary Clinton presidential campaign in 2016.

John Durham’s probe into the origins of the Russian hoax against Donald Trump has resulted in three people so far who have been arrested and face charges.

The Democrats and the Hillary campaign paid Christopher Steele, a former British spy, to find dirt on Trump. The Left initiated an illegal and politically charged witch hunt against Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.

This research was provided to the FBI. The research falsely claimed there were ties and collusion between Trump and Russia. The FBI then applied for surveillance warrants against Trump and these warrants were issued.

Under the Obama administration, the U.S. government spied on the Trump campaign during the 2016 campaign. The FBI specifically targeted Trump’s campaign aide George Papadopoulos.

The left-wing media is also guilty of pushing these lies against Trump. Stories that were published back in March 2017 and February 2019 needed to be corrected.

The executive editor of The Washington Post said they could no longer stand by the accuracy of these reports. The headlines were changes. Entire sections of the stories were removed. Sources were removed.

The anti-Trump media went to incredible lengths to support Democrats and wrongfully attack Trump. Even videos that were created to accompany the articles and summarized the reports were deleted.

From Fox News:

The ironically named “Reliable Sources” claims to examine the top media stories every Sunday, but the Washington Post adding editor’s notes, amending headlines and removing sections of two major reports didn’t make the cut for Stelter. The Post’s correction came as other news outlets, including Stelter’s CNN, have been criticized for failing to adjust reporting after Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the Trump-Russia probe further discredited the already-shaky dossier.

Instead of covering the Post’s massive and significant corrections, Stelter treated viewers to segments on the “information disorder,” Brian Williams leaving MSNBC, Steve Bannon’s podcast, whether or not Americans should believe inflation headlines, American journalist Danny Fenster being jailed in Myanmar, Britney Spears and a local newspaper fighting to survive.

It’s unclear why Stelter would avoid such a significant media story on his program that claims to cover the media industry. Perhaps he avoided informing viewers of the news because CNN anchor Pamela Brown repeated the Post’s now-retracted reporting as if it were a fact on November 16, 2017.

CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
