In a new documentary about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, called “Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words,” which has not yet been released, Thomas claims that Democrats treated him worse than the KKK.

The documentary is set to air on PBS in 2020, but ABC News reports they were given an early look at the document by conservative filmmaker Michael Pack and Manifold Productions.

“I felt as though, in my life, I had been looking at the wrong people as the people who would be problematic toward me,” Thomas reportedly says in the documentary, according to ABC News. “We were told that, ‘Oh, it’s gonna be the bigot in the pickup truck; it’s gonna be the Klansmen; it’s gonna be the rural sheriff.’”

“But it turned out that through all of that, ultimately the biggest impediment was the modern-day liberal,” the justice continued. “They were the ones who would discount all those things because they have one issue or because they have the power to caricature you.”

Manifold Productions, set to release the film by early 2020, describes that Thomas will share his entire life story in the documentary.

“Although Clarence Thomas remains a controversial figure, loved by some, reviled by others, few know much more than a few headlines and the recollections of his contentious confirmation battle with Anita Hill,” the production company said per the Daily Wire. “With unprecedented access, the producers interviewed Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife, Virginia, for over 30 hours of interview time, over many months. Justice Thomas tells his entire life’s story, looking directly at the camera, speaking frankly to the audience.”

“Unscripted and without narration, the documentary takes the viewer through this complex and often painful life, dealing with race, faith, power, jurisprudence, and personal resilience,” the company adds.

The Daily Wire reports:

In the trailer, Thomas claims he was targeted by the Left because he dared to think in a way a black man was not expected or allowed to.

“I mean, come on, we know what this is all about,” he says at the end of the trailer. “This is the wrong black guy; he has to be destroyed.”

Thomas, who was nominated for the Supreme Court in 1991 by then-President George H. W. Bush, underwent a rocky confirmation process after he was accused of dubious acts of sexual misconduct by Anita Hill.
