Fear of ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Chant Likely Kept Biden from Attending Army-Navy Game, GOP Rep Says

Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin of New York claims that Joe Biden likely stayed away from the 122nd annual Army-Navy Game out of fear of facing a massive “Let’s Go, Brandon!” chant from the audience.

The White House broke its presidential tradition and decided that Biden would not appear at the game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

“I don’t know exactly why he did not attend,” Zeldin said during an interview with Breitbart.

“However, I will say this –, and I’ll state it as my opinion, and it could very well be a fact — if President Biden showed up at yesterday’s game, there’s a good possibility that you would have had the largest ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ chant that has taken place.”

“That entire arena might have roasted him right out of MetLife Stadium. I’m not saying this to be hyperbolic or incendiary.”

“It might have been a calculation made by the White House that if he went to the game — I think — it was a pretty good chance that he was going get roasted out of the stadium,” he said.

Zeldin continued, “There are tens of thousands of other people in that arena who were not there in uniform, and that clearly was a stadium that is not happy with the performance right now of President Biden.”

“If I had to guess which way the reception would have gone — I agree with you that the cadets and midshipmen would not be participating in the roasting — but there would have been several tens of thousands of other people who, I think, would have been giving Biden a greeting that he would not have liked.”

The chant became popular during an interview with racecar driver Brandon Brown at a NASCAR racing event in October.

While a crowd chanted “F*** Joe Biden,” NBC reporter Kelli Stavast mistakenly believed they were chanting, “Let’s go, Brandon.”

When asked about the highly-popularized “Let’s Go Brandon” chant, Mike Rowe didn’t pull any punches in a recent interview.

Rowe called it “clever” and “hysterical.”

It’s not only a refutation of Joe Biden, but also the left-wing media as they failed to realize what was happening at the NASCAR event when the chant surfaced.

The Left’s effort to change the meaning of language failed.

“The times that we’re living in right now are forcing lots of people on both sides of the aisle to look at a thing, or hear a thing, and be told that what they’re seeing and what they’re hearing is not real,” Rowe said.

“And you can’t do that to people indefinitely and expect them not to push back somehow. You can’t tell people that the border is secure and then show them images of tens of thousands of people flooding over it. You can’t tell people that the evacuation of Afghanistan was a success and then show them people falling off of a plane.”

“And you can’t ask people who are watching a NASCAR race at home, who clearly hear the crowd yelling ‘F*** Joe Biden’ to pretend that what they’re really hearing is ‘Let’s Go Brandon.’”

“I think what’s happened is people have just become sick and tired of being told that what they’re seeing and what they’re hearing is not what they’re seeing and hearing,” Rowe said.
