Liz Cheney Releases Private Texts, Appears to Accidentally Undercut Entire Purpose of Jan. 6 Committee

Anti-Trump congresswoman Liz Cheney may have accidentally undercut the entire witch hunt known as the Jan. 6th committee.

The committee has continued its desperate attempts to attack President Donald Trump. Most recently, the committee has targeted Mark Meadows who served as Trump’s chief of staff at the White House.

Meadows, who refused to comply with the committee’s subpoena, filed a lawsuit against Nancy Pelosi and the committee. In response, the committee recommended that Meadows be held in criminal contempt.

Enter Liz Cheney.

Cheney decided that it would be a good idea to read aloud private text messages sent to Meadows from Donald Trump Jr. while the events of Jan. 6 were underway. She also reads texts from Fox News hosts Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and Brian Kilmeade.

All of the texts urged for the violence to be publicly and firmly condemned. This showed that Trump and his supporters were both surprised and concerned by the rioting.

There was also widespread agreement and a consensus that the violence must end.

This contradicts the Democrat’s false narrative that the events of January 6 were an organized attempt to overturn the presidential election result.

While the committee hopes to pin everything on President Trump, an FBI investigation has already shot down this theory in an exclusive Reuters report.

FBI officials concluded that the evidence shows roughly 96% of cases were “one-off incidents” and only 4% could be tied to various militia-type groups. These groups were still not centrally coordinated.

“The FBI has so far found no evidence that he [President Trump] or people directly around him were involved in organizing the violence, according to the four current and former law enforcement officials,” FBI officials told Reuters.

“FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump,” the report adds.

Despite this vindication for Trump, Democrats have continued to waste taxpayer money with the investigation.

The Jan. 6 select committee is attempting to move forward with contempt proceedings against former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. Meadows, like several others, have refused to comply with the panel’s subpoena.

Meadows is the third person to face contempt proceedings from the committee.

The committee has also gone after former White House strategist Steve Bannon and former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark.
