China’s foreign minister has issued a major warning to America over their support of Taiwan, saying the US risks paying an “unbearable price.”

During a recent interview, Chinese minister Wang Yi accused the US of “encouraging Taiwan independence.”

By “encouraging ‘Taiwan independence’ forces’ the United States ‘not only puts Taiwan into an extremely dangerous situation but also exposes the United States to an unbearable price”, Wang said.

Meanwhile another Chinese minister issued a different threat, saying “drastic measures” will be taken if Taiwan makes a move towards formal independence.

The Chinese minister did not say what those “drastic measures” would be.
