Hillary Clinton expressed concerns that former President Donald Trump might act as a “dictator” if he wins the presidency in 2025.

This came after Trump made a tongue-in-cheek remark about taking executive action on his first day in office to reverse Biden administration policies.

Democrats have long portrayed Trump as authoritarian, despite Biden facing criticism for vaccine mandates and other measures. (Trending: Ousted Democrat Who Filmed Explicit Tape Blames Homophobia)

“Take him at his word,” Clinton said to Sen. Brian Schatz, who said, “Trump is now repeatedly saying he’s going to be a dictator on day one and I don’t think we should keep asking what he means.”

“That’s what he means,” Schatz pressed.

“You are promising America tonight. You would never abuse power as retribution against anybody?” Sean Hannity asked Trump.

“Except for day one,” Trump said.

“I’m going to be — I’m going to be, you know, he keeps — we love those guy. He says, you’re not going to be a dictator, are you? I said, no, no, no, other than day one,” Trump went on.

“We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator,” Trump added.

“He’s like a guy with a laser pointer, and the left is a cat,” one New Hampshire Trump voter said.
