The House of Representatives recently passed a bill proposed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to reduce Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s salary to $1, citing his extravagant trips and a past incident where he pretended to ride a bike to receive an award.
Buttigieg has faced heavy criticism for his handling of crises at the Department of Transportation, including delays in responding to a train derailment and commercial airline cancellations.
The bill is unlikely to be approved by the Senate.
